Is the cold air going to be painful?While the cold, which can reach temperatures of -240 degrees Fahrenheit, can be surprising, especially for those who are new to treatment, it is not at all painful. Many report an exhilarating rush and an instant energetic response.

What should I wear for my cryotherapy treatment?To receive the full benefits of cryotherapy treatments, the cold air should touch about 90% of your bare skin. This means that MEND Health & Wellness provides you with socks, special gloves, and slippers. Men should wear dry cotton briefs as well. Mend will provide shorts if needed.

How long does cryotherapy take?During your first appointment, you should expect to spend about 15 minutes to half an hour learning about our procedures and what to expect. We will take the time to answer any questions and learn about your exact circumstances. After your initial session, further treatments typically take about five to seven minutes.

Is cryotherapy dangerous?Not at all! Our fully-trained technicians are experts in the field and are fully trained in safety. We ensure our patient's comfort is maximized and if you ever feel uncomfortable during treatment we will be happy to immediately assist you. You can return to normal daily activities after recovery with full capability and potential.

How often can I have cryotherapy treatments?Depending on the condition of treatment, you should initially take 5-10 treatments in close succession (separated by one to two days, e.g. three times a week) to maximize your results. After, you can take fewer treatments spaced further apart to maintain and improve on your results (e.g. once every week or two weeks).

Who should not use whole body cryotherapy?
A:If you have any of the following, you may not be fit for treatment:
- Cold/Allergies/Fever
- Pregnancy
- Urinary tract infection
- Severe Hypertension (BP> 180/100)
- Acute or recent myocardial infarction
- Symptomatic cardiovascular disease
